Stressed-out or not, Tagaytay is our favorite place to hang out. Aside from its comfortably cool weather, there are countless things to see, eat, buy and do here with various vantage view of Taal Lake.

Here are some:

  • Go on a Spiritual Journey

Tagaytay, more than its cooling breeze, it is also a home of various retreat centers and churches.

Pink Sisters Chapel & Convent.
For the restless soul, this place will calm your heart. The Pink Sister, managed by the Sister-Servant of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration , is one of the famous churches in Tagaytay.

A very quite place for someone who needs some soul-searching, reflection or just merely relaxation.

It is surrounded by lush greens, mostly pine trees, this beautiful and tranquil scene will surely recharge one’s batteries.

Wearing pink habit, nuns are also the choir during the mass in a very angelic voice. Church-goers are encouraged to turn off their phones and lower their voices in respect for others.

If you want to seek prayers from the pink sisters, leave your petitions at the drop box provided. Sisters are praying at the Holy Eucharist for our prayer intentions.

Tierra de Maria

This 50-foot Virgin Mary image is a replica of the Our Lady of Manaog in Pangasinan. It is a small chapel where you can recite the novena to Our Lady of Manaog. You can light a candle for your prayer intentions and have a quick tour around since parking space is not available here.

Our Lady of Lourdes Church

Location wise, this is the most popular church in Tagaytay. The church has a beautiful garden landscape, candle chapel where mass goers light colored candles. It has a large free parking area but still not enough for the mass goers during weekend.

Calleruega Chapel of Transfiguration of Jesus This place is perfect for a quick retreat.

Nature tripping is one of the things to do here aside from attending a mass.

Nature plus a cool weather is one perfect getaway from the bustling city life.

Picnic Grove This place is probably the most visited place in Tagaytay since it has a stunning view of the Taal volcano. Entrance fee is 50 pesos per head; 3 years old and below is free.

Activities:

  • Rent a cottage or hut and enjoy the view while having a picnic to catch up with your family or friends. Rental fee is 100 – 500 pesos.

  • Stroll around the Eco-trail.

  • Zip line is for theadventurous one. Fee per ride is 200 pesos on a weekdays and 300 pesos on weekends and holidays

  • Rent a binocular for a clearer and nearer view of the Taal Volcano. Rental fee is 100 pesos for 1 hour.

  • Buy souvenir items

Sky Ranch Theme Park

It is a theme park located inside the Sky Ranch that is owned by SM Investments Corporation.

Do not miss a ride to the Sky Eye Ferris Wheel while Marvelling at the beautiful Taal Volcano.

Zoori Residence Inn Tagaytay

This place is no longer the Residence Inn we once visited long time ago. It became smaller and some animals were already gone but it has still the stunning view of the lake.

This place is enough to enjoy by kids 6 years old and below but not for older kids.

Food trip

Seoul Garden at Serin Mall

If you are in the mood for Korean food, you can have it at Seoul Garden Restaurant inside the Serin Mall. It offers Samgyeupsal at an affordable price of 388 pesos per head. It is an unlimited pork or beef, dippings%sauces, rice and vegetables.

The unlimited Samgyeupsal also comes with a free iced tea drink.

McCafe

Have a good cup of coffee at this branch of McDonald’s where you can sit back and relax A great view of the lake is what makes the place special. McCafe is located at the 2nd floor of Mc Donald’s fast food store. It is the branch near rotunda.

Verdiview Restaurant

If you want a garden set-up dining experience, you will love Verdiview restaurant. They cater Filipino cuisine like dinuguan, adobo,pakbet, fried dilis, fresh lumpia etc. For dessert, fresh fruits in season and rice cakes are available. Buffet each person costs only 299 pesos.
