Holidays and long weekends give us an opportunity to switch from a busy to a relax mode. These are also a good chance to bond with family or go on an adventure and appreciate nature. For these, I suggest that going to Tagaytay will be the most practical destination considering its distance from Manila. The cool breezy air, nature trip and food discovery are some of the things we can enjoy!
And since it’s a Christmas season, I thought of making our vacation more special. I booked a hotel that is beyond our usual budget at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay. I booked an overnight stay using my Booking.com app and luckily they gave me that genius rate.
A brief history of Taal Vista Hotel:
- previously known as Taal Vista Lodge
- It is one of the oldest landmark in Tagaytay where then President Manuel L. Quezon held cabinet meetings at this hotel.
- During the World War II, The building was used as officer’s quarter by the Japanese.
At the lobby
She courteously welcomes us with a smile.
Checking in and checking out was smooth and quick. I just pesented my confirmation from Booking.com, my ID and payment and that’s all. The staff at the counter was very pleasant to talk to and very attentive.
I booked a superior twin room- mountain wing. This room comes with 2 single beds, a day bed, cable TV, safety deposit box, personal ref, and an en suite bathroom.
The room is big enough for three persons, beds are small yet comfortable, bedding smell fresh and clean. Flat iron and ironing board were also provided.
While we were waiting for our lunch buffet at the Veranda, for the 49th Wedding Anniversary of our parents, they visited us in our room.
Relaxing view from our room.
The bathroom is clean with complete toiletries, hair dryer and sets of towel. By the way, towels are sparkling white and looks new.
Hotel’s Complimentary Amenities:
Swimming Pool Area
Having a second thought taking a quick dip at the infinity pool? You can while the sun is up. It’s cooler in the afternoon specially when the wind blows.
Small talks and nothing serious at the pool side, made the afternoon brighter with my niece and nephews, Angel, Jm, Quiel and JV.
Kid’s corner’s play room is where kids will enjoy playing in the ball pit, colorful toys, slide, and kiddie art activities.
Fitness Center- sweat it out and feel energized using the gym’s facilities.
