Traveling from Milan to Vienna was the most exciting train ride we (me and my husband) have ever done so far. From Milano Centrale to Wien Hauptbahnhof station via Trenitalia. Its a bit pricey (peso- euro forex rate) but thinking about Austria (where the hills are alive with the sound of music) excites me.
Good thing we were accompanied by our friends at the ticket station (don’t know how to speak Italian) The lady at the counter was friendly and very accommodating.
Our ticket to Wien Hauptbahnhof Station.
Inside the train. On the right side was our cabin 12C and 11C
Arrival at around 9AM. Our beautiful Vienna journey begins here.
We (with our host friend) started the day with a coffee and pie at this coffee shop inside the terminal station.
We went to their place in Baden afterward to get some rest and eat a hearty and delicious lunch that his wife, Beth cooked for us.
We went back to Vienna City to start our adventure.
Our host friend made sure that local food, sights, and attractions are never missed out (Filipino hospitality at its best).
At Schonbrunn Palace-one of the most iconic building in Austria
Schonbrunn Garden. We missed the flowers since they bloom in springtime. (sad)
Coffee time at this cozy place. Aida Cafe Konditerei (A must try in Vienna)
St. Stephen Cathedral. One of the most important architectural, cultural and historical monument in Austria.

Had our sumptuous dinner at the Bermuda Brau.👍👍
That ended our first day.
Our day 2 is a Palm Sunday so we attended mass at Pfarre Baden St. Stephan /Frauenkirche then, go on a hiking afterward.
We are blessed to witness the Easter Sunday Celebration the Austrian way. It’s a totally different Easter Sunday Celebration compared to our country. We started the procession from outside the church (uphill). Children carried tall sticks decorated with streamers and of course palm tree branches.
Two donkeys were joining the procession with the bishop.
Hiking in Baden Bei Wien. Our most beautiful nature walk. One of the reasons to thank God for his wonderful creations.
Breathtaking view of the whole Baden place from above.
